The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have confirmed their second baby is due in April next year.
Today’s official announcement means Kate is now safely past the 12-week point and the couple have had
their 12-week scan.
The royal statement does not specify whether a boy or girl is expected – but use of the word ‘baby’ means twins have been ruled out.
It adds that Kate, 32, continues to be affected by severe morning sickness, but her condition is ‘steadily improving’.
