Azealia Banks won't be starting any Twitter tirades this month. She's vowed to give-up tweeting for Lent.
"I missed the beginning of Lent but better late than never. I'm going off tweets until April 2nd!! My management will tweet AB news," she tweeted Monday.
She followed up, "I need to give my mind a break." But she won't be going social-media cold turkey, because the "212" rapper is still up for Instagram.
Banks is a prolific user of the micro-blogging site. To date, she's blasted more than 14,000 tweets, a good portion of which have been rumbles with other artists. She's had twitter rows with Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco and Action Bronson, there was a recent testy back-and-forth with Erykah Badu, and an ill-tempered -- and long-running -- battle with Iggy Azalea, which reached its natural conclusion when the Aussie rapper announced she was taking a break from social media.
Banks recently announced a short run of live dates to support her debut studio album Broke With Expensive Taste, starting April 10 at the Coachella Festival in Indio, Calif.
